Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at the fourth international webinar titled “Islamic Iran; the Islamic Dignity Front in Confronting the Zionist Regime,” held virtually to honor the martyrs of Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq, Sheikh Talal Abdul Rahman, Hamas Prisoners’ Case Manager, said the Palestinian issue has always been a non-negotiable principle for Tehran.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran did not adopt Palestine as a temporary political position,” Abdul Rahman said. “From the outset of the Islamic Revolution, the Palestinian cause has been a fixed axis of Iran’s foreign policy, rooted in divine leadership and a deep commitment to justice.”
He stressed that Iran has paid a heavy price for its principled stance, including sanctions, sieges, threats, and assassinations, yet has never retreated from its support for the oppressed or its confrontation with the Zionist regime and the United States.
Referring to Washington as the driving force behind what he described as a new colonial project in the region, Abdul Rahman said Iran’s steadfast resistance stood out at a time when many governments abandoned their commitments to confronting occupation and domination.
“When others withdrew, Iran’s resistance became a symbol of honor, dignity, and independence for the Islamic Ummah,” he said, adding that clear signs of the decline of Zionist hegemony and the inability of the United States to impose its will are now increasingly evident.
The Palestinian resistance figure highlighted Iran’s unconditional support for Palestinian and Lebanese resistance movements, saying Tehran views resistance not as a bargaining tool but as a right, a duty, and a source of pride.
He pointed to the Al-Aqsa Storm operation as a tangible outcome of Iran’s long-term, strategic backing of the Palestinian resistance, saying it demonstrated the effectiveness of sustained support rather than short-term political calculations.
Abdul Rahman also referred to the emergence of a genuine, multi-front axis of resistance across the region, noting that a new balance of deterrence has now been imposed on the Zionist regime.
“Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to be the backbone of this axis,” he said. “Its role has been decisive in shaping and stabilizing a resistance front that stretches across the region.”
Praising Iran’s continued support for freedom-seekers, Abdul Rahman said the blood of the martyrs will never be wasted, stressing that Al-Aqsa Storm marked the beginning of a new phase of resistance rather than its conclusion.
“No matter how much time passes, the Zionist regime is destined to decline,” he said. “Iran’s unwavering support for the oppressed is an inspiring model for the Islamic nation in confronting oppression, occupation, and aggression.”
